Treat yourself to a Mediterranean evening and explore Greek civilization and culture by participating in an exclusive tour of Chicago’s National Hellenic Museum. Located in the heart of the Chicago’s festive Greektown, the Museum’s newly built state-of-art facility was favorably featured by WTTW Chicago Tonight http://tinyurl.com/c5erswj Commended for its interactive and innovatively designed exhibits, the Museum with its expansive collection of artifacts and art is the only one in the United States dedicated to celebrating Greek history, culture, art and the Greek American experience.
On August 28th Elise Freed-Brown, Museum Educator, and John Anagnostopoulos, Library and Oral History Manager, will provide the Chicago Area Solo Librarians with a special behind the scenes look at this center’s exhibits and library.

The Museum is about a 15 minute walk west of Union Station. Inexpensive parking lots are available on the east side Halsted at Adams (south of Walgreens), or at Adams and Desplaines.
